Wesley M. Corbitt currently serves Effingham County as the Chairman-At-Large since 2017. Corbitt received his Bachelors in Accounting from Georgia Southern College (now Georgia Southern University) in June of 1977. He is married to Pam Corbitt. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. They are a members of the Grace Community Church in Effingham County. Wesley is a Certified Public Accountant and was a partner in a local firm for 25 years, (1983 – 2008). He has more than 20,000 hours of government audit and financial analysis experience; auditing multiple counties and municipal governments, non-profits, commercial and banking institutions. He was also a Certified Public Accountant with the State of Georgia for 27 years (1981 – 2008). Other accomplishments include: - Memberships with the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts

- Service Delivery Consultant, assisting municipal governments in negotiating and preparing responsive, efficient and equitable agreements and serving as the Executive Director of Agape Children’s Ministry in Kenya.
Wesley and his wife Pam enjoys traveling abroad and spending time with their family.
