The upcoming detour originally scheduled for the weekend of November 19th through the 21th will be delayed and rescheduled for the weekend of December 3rd through the 5th. Your understanding and flexibility are appreciated in advance. This third detour will allow the installation of asphalt through the final surface course on the project.
The detour depicts advanced notice message boards at the intersections of SR17 and Hwy 80, SR17 and SR30, Blue Jay Road and Midland Road, Central Ave and Midland Road, and at the intersection of Blue Jay Road and Sandhill Road. APAC will turn these message boards on one week prior to the detour with a message that reads: “Intersection of Blue Jay and SR17 Closed Use Detour Route”.
The proposed detour route for SR17 north would be to use Hwy 80, turn right on Sandhill Road and turn right on Midland Road to SR17. SR17 northbound travelers also have the option to continue north to the intersection of SR17 and SR30 where they will be notified again the intersection of Blue Jay and SR17 will be closed to use detour route directing the traffic east on SR30 to Midland Road where traffic will turn north on Midland Road and either west on Blue Jay Road or continue north to SR17.
Traffic traveling west on SR30 will be notified to use the detour route directing traffic to turn south on SR17, west on Hwy 80, north on Sandhill Road, and either east on Blue Jay Road or continue north on Sandhill Road to Midland Road.
Traffic traveling north on Midland Road will be notified at the intersection of Midland Road and Blue Jay Road to use the detour route directing traffic to continue north on Midland Road to SR17 where traffic can turn south on SR17 or continue to Sandhill Road where they will be directed to turn south on Sandhill Road and east on Blue Jay Road.
Traffic Traveling south on Midland Road will be notified to use the detour route at the intersection of Midland Road and Blue Jay Road directing traffic to continue south on Midland Road to the intersection of Midland Road and SR30. Traffic will be directed west on SR30 to the intersection of SR30 and SR17. Traffic will then be directed south on SR17 to the intersection of SR17 and Hwy 80. Traffic will be directed west on Hwy 80, north on Sandhill Road and either continue north on Sandhill Road to the intersection of Sandhill Road and SR17 or east on Blue Jay Road.
Traffic traveling south on SR17 will be notified to use the detour route at the intersection of SR17 and Midland Road where traffic will be directed to turn northwest or southeast on Midland Road. Traffic turning southeast on Midland Road will follow the detour route to the intersection of Blue Jay Road. Traffic turning northwest on Midland Road will be directed to use the detour route turning south on Central Ave to Sandhill Road to the intersection of Blue Jay Road.
Traffic Traveling north on Sandhill Road will be directed to continue north Sandhill Road to SR17 or Midland Road and traffic traveling south on Sandhill Road will be notified to continue south on Sandhill Road, east on Hwy 80, north on SR17, East on SR30, and north on Midland Road.
