Misdemeanor Cases
The Effingham County Probation Office supervises "misdemeanor" probation cases. These are cases sentenced in Effingham County State Court, Springfield Municipal Court, and The City of Guyton Municipal Court. On occasion, an Effingham County Superior Court Judge may reduce a felony charge to a misdemeanor charge, which will result in the defendant in that case being supervised by this office.
If you were not sentenced in these courts, please contact the originating court for questions about your sentence. This office does not supervise juveniles, nor does it supervise adults on felony probation.
